Fiona Banner 'The View from the Outside'

This commission was managed by Jeni Walwin, curatorial advisor to the Pictet London Collection, in her capacity as Associate Curator with the Contemporary Art Society

The View from Outside is a Pictet Group commission. Fiona Banner was invited to visit Pictet’s headquarters in Geneva to make a work on paper that reflected time spent in the main reception. The work is a response to the comings and goings of the staff and the architecture of the space. The commission resulted in two pieces – a graphite and vinyl work on paper, now installed in the 10th floor lobby of Pictet’s London office, and a limited edition A3 print appearing as a double page spread in the Pictet Group Report published in July 2014.
